Position Title		Analytical Lab Manager   (Req #839)

Responsibilities		Responsible for all activities required to maintain a functional analytical lab including budgeting, establishing and updating standard procedures, equipment maintenance and calibration, sample and data management, performing/supervising analytical testing, waste disposal, and safety of the facility. It is expected that the analysis laboratory manager is an expert in the use of all lab equipment and has the data analysis, including SPC, and failure analysis skills to provide support for product development and research activities. The analytical laboratory manager will also participate in energetics product development and research projects as a member of a team and sometimes lead these projects. The ability to document and analytical results and present these results to internal and external customers is also a must.
Requirements		The candidate must have a BS/MS in chemistry or related field and a minimum of 10 years of experience in analytical laboratory techniques, laboratory management, and personnel supervision. Knowledge of energetic materials and energetics product development is beneficial. Experience with the specific test and measurement techniques common to energetic materials is required, such as, DSC/TGA, moisture analysis, chromatography, FTIR, SEM, microscopy, spectroscopy, and materials analysis. Candidates should have the ability to interpret and analyze data in support of production, product development, and research activities.
